I needed some help with a repair on my Trex deck. I called and outlined the issue with Michael. I made an appointment and when they arrived they got right to work. The fix was as Michael had explained over the phone. I contacted Next Level Decks and Exteriors out of desperation because another contractor had done a large project for me and then went out of business. That left me with some unresolved warranty problems with lighting that had been installed.
They were very responsive, timely with their advice and prompt with the repairs. My concerns were resolved at no cost to me. They were pleasant, extremely supportive and very informative.

My rear deck rail needed replacing. Mike from Next Level examined my decks and said it would look better if they sanded and re-stained the decks as well since the previous owner had the cedar painted instead of stained. Then Logan came over and gave an estimate. Within a few weeks he and Dylan began the project after showing me the color options. It took them 4 days to repair the rail and stain the decks, and they look beautiful. I heartily recommend Next Level Decks.

We thought our Deck project was going to be straight forward however the other company we hired went over budget, didn't put the deck boards on correctly spaced, and when we discovered defects in the deck boards themselves, this other company would not stand behind their work or the products they sold us. Fast forward and I called Next Level Decks and Exteriors and spoke to Mike the owner of the company. Mike was straight forward, seemed like an upstanding guy, and his prices were very reasonable. Basically, Mike and his crew needed to rebuild the deck frame, install the new deck boards I was able to get replaced from the manufacturer, and then add the bells and whistles my wife wanted all along. Mike came out and gave me a quote right away as well as a start date to get my deck completed correctly. He and his crew showed up on time and worked very hard all day long for 4 days and even gave me a little extra. Mike and Lloyd never let me down. The quality of the work they did was outstanding. Mike answered every question I had and even returned my calls or texts the same day. Mike is veteran, which is one of the reasons I selected him and his company. It was a great experience and good to know that his word on the work, the quality, and price actually meant something. By the end of the project, I had come to know Mike well enough to know he stands behind his work. This was tested when we had an unfortunate incident with a rabbit chewing the wires for our deck lighting. Mike and Lloyd were there the next day to fix the issue and even though it was not their fault, took care of it right away (no charge). Next Level Decks and Exteriors and Mike, Lloyd and the rest of the crew are top notch and I would highly recommend them for any other project. Thanks Mike. A few weeks ago we had a pretty large deck built at our home in West Linn by Next Level Decks, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, the entire experience was seamless and professional.
Communication was top-notch throughout the entire project. We always knew what stage the build was in, what to expect next, and any time we had questions, they were quick to respond with clear and honest answers.

We had Next Level Decks build a new Trex deck at our home in Lake Oswego. After receiving multiple bids, we ultimately chose Next Level Decks because of their transparency with pricing and their extensive knowledge of decking brands and materials. They showed us photos of other large decks and patio covers they had completed, which really helped us choose the right style for our home.
From start to finish, Mike was incredibly easy to work with. The entire Next Level Decks crew was outstanding—they cleaned up daily, kept us informed on the progress, and even made small suggestions along the way to improve the project without adding to the cost.

It was a small residential project, and after meeting with six different companies, it was clear that Mike was the right combination of personal, professional, and value based. His price was very competitive, yet the quality of the work was top-notch. In fact, I came into the project with a preconceived plan, and Mike patiently helped me understand – through his expertise and simple explanation – why and how certain parts of my plan could be improved. In the end, he totally understood and executed the vision, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the final product. Furthermore, all of his team were fantastic: super nice and polite and funny guys, who did an impressive job of removing the existing railing and delicately minimizing any damage to the house and posts. Turns out they were drilling into a challenging slab of concrete, yet the craftsmanship was flawless. Not a single crack or misaligned joint!

This crew will take care of the job! Little did they know whilst replacing my neighbor's multi-story deck, I was seeking a best in class team to tackle my complex project. With over 1400 square feet of deck (on a tricky job site), the team devoured the project with poise and an eye for detail. Had the pleasure of teaming up with Mike, Kyle and crew from MG Exteriors for a VERY LARGE and COMPLEX deck project in Camas, WA. The jobsite was basically on a granite bedrock cliff and needed significant framing. Incorporating a swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor cook center, they also installed railing and extra long posts for bistro lights.
The customer had some interior work that needed done within their home and MG handled that as well. I hear they're also being called out for MORE work on the front side of the house.

After getting quotes, hiring a company & later firing that company to build us a deck under our deck, we were really defeated thinking our very sloped useless backyard would really ever have usable space. I found a recommendation for Mike at MG Exteriors on Happy Valley Chit Chat and gave them a call. He came out quickly for my quote (not a salesperson but the owner) and quoted us on the spot. He also looked at my existing deck & recommended we protect that one pre-construction of the new one (it was only 2 yrs old but already looked sad. MG/Oregon Deck & Fence are incredible — true craftsmen and professionals through and through! I finally found a contractor that has the attention to detail that I expect and has great communication and is punctual!
Hired MG/Oregon Deck & Fence for Trex retread, Trex Rainscape install, and under deck ceiling install for dry 4-season patio usage.
My great experience started with the first call – owner Mike Gray responded within minutes of my first message, he came out next business day to evaluate the site in-person and to develop his estimate. Mike's attentiveness and communication level remained at this level throughout the entire project.
I got texts/calls/in-person updates daily informing me of the day's progress, decision points and what time the crew would be arriving next day, each day. Mike's crew breaks all the cliches of too many contractors in the industry — the cliches of showing up late, working partial days, disappearing mid-day, not knowing if/when they're coming…. with MG, I knew I could count on the crew to be punctual, respectful of my property and put in a full day each day on the project.
His crew is allocated to a project start to finish full-time — this was huge to me. It kept the project moving fast and it kept communication tight and efficient.
And even more important, their craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. Being somewhat capable myself, I have a high degree of precision I expect and Mike's crew took it to the highest level — they are fixated precision both structurally and cosmetically. Everyting from joists to deck boards to the trim they laid down was installed with exacting standards: level, plumb, exact even spacing, etc. And whenever they reached a point where design choices came up, they were consultative with me giving me the options and pros/cons of them.
I have truly been impressed by Mike and team.
